The Co-op Heart of the Barossa

The Co-op Heart of the Barossa is Australia’s largest retail co-operative, employing more than 350 people in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. The challenge for The Co-op is to remain connected with its customer base, despite its continued growth. Facebook proved the perfect way to do this, allowing The Co-op to show its human side. Behind the scenes stories of staff, customers and the small businesses The Co-op partners with were lapped up by its Facebook audience. For example, the story of Halle and her Mum Taryn enjoying their shopping experience at Nuriootpa Foodland thanks to the introduction of a Caroline’s Cart reached more than 12,000 people and was shared 84 times.

Clerestory totally transformed our social media strategy. Sarah created a series of content-driven posts that have lifted social engagement and increased reach. In addition, her strategy is easy to follow and sustainable for our business. However, the best thing about working with Sarah was her friendly, yet business-focused attitude. This helped us stay on task and on brand. Sarah is an amazing consultant and an asset to any business. We look forward to working with her again in the future.
